My Journey to networking started with a B.S. Information Systems at the University of Nevada, Reno. I later began the certification path starting with CompTia A+ and Network+. Next I moved to Cisco with a CCNA in Routing and Switching followed by Voice, Wireless, and Security. Next I moved to the CCNP Routing and Switching followed by Wireless and Security. The Next big step for me is the journey to the CCIE Routing and Switching.

I have wanted to document my Journey to CCIE mainly as a quick reference for myself and to help assist others on the same path.

I got my roots in Networking at Clearwire with WiMax and LTE working in a NOC environment. After the Sprint merger and a layoff I am now working as a Network Engineer at Leidos in Las Vegas. I have been an IT professional for the last 12 years.
